Keep reading to find all the information you need about the upcoming Pilates Retreat!
- When is the Camp Pilates Retreat? October 24-27, 2021.
- Where will the retreat be held? At the San Vicente Golf and Resort in Ramona, CA. Here at the resort you’ll find hotel accommodations for your stay, dining, golf, pool, and more. Hiking trails are nearby, along with a spa down the road at the Riviera Resort. During your down time you’ll find plenty of things to do or simply decompress from the day and watch the sunset from your patio or balcony of your hotel room or hang out poolside with friends.
- Should I stay at the hotel if I am local? Great question! Consider this: if you love to drive, and need to be home in the evenings, then the Camp Pilates Retreat OFF CAMPUS pass is perfect for you! Simply drive up each day, partake in a daily morning mat class to get you moving, followed by the daily workshops, with breakfast and lunch provided for you. Socialize a bit, and head home each evening. If you DREAD driving up each day, then I definitely recommend you get the ON CAMPUS pass. You may either do the single occupancy for a room to yourself or a double occupancy if you have a friend who plans to attend the Retreat too. You’ll still have some free or down time in the evenings to catch your breath, visit with friends, or partake in other activities like hitting the golf range, wineries, or even the Barona Casino!
- Who should attend the Camp Pilates Retreat? Anyone can attend the retreat! If you are a client who loves Pilates and wants to learn more, then this is for you. You’ll get an opportunity to expand your personal practice and improve your form without the daily distraction of shopping lists, phone calls, errands to run, deadlines, fatigue, appointments and so on. It will provide a full immersion opportunity! With this type of attention you find your focus and be able to clear your mind which will deepen your understanding of Pilates as a system of exercises and how that feels in your body. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions about all those things about Pilates that you’ve always wanted to know!
- I’m an instructor, what can I hope to gain from this Retreat? As an instructor of Pilates you understand the necessity of continuing education to keep your skills current. Each day will have at least one workshop that is instructor focused. Now, at one time, you were simply a lover of Pilates, maybe even a long time client. So all the benefits listed above for clients still apply to you! Have you lost your self-practice? Get back into the swing of it with focused time at the retreat! Want to deepen your knowledge about anatomy and physiology? Great! You’ll have an A/P workshop each day followed by practice where you can put that knowledge to use right away. Learn new adaptive ways of teaching to level up your clients, help them move better and safer, and be better prepared when you return to work by getting inspired at this one of kind retreat.
- Why should I attend a retreat if I work out every day? Simply put, being at a retreat reduces stress levels through immersion, focus on better posture from the eye of an experienced Pilates teacher, learn how to alleviate pain from old injuries or manage new ones, improve your flexibility, gives you time away from home and your routine, access to expert advice on a variety of topics, and learn more about you, your body, and your movement practice.
- Still have questions about attending the Retreat? No worries! Give me, Gretchen Roscoe, a call or email to chat! If you know me, you know I love to talk about all things Pilates, so I’ll be looking forward to talking soon. Take care!
