About Me

I believe in the movement of Pilates and how it can help you to feel and do everything in your life, better. I’ve been a mover all my life and Pilates has provided me with the ability to keep pace as I age, through injuries from various sports I’ve played over the years, and continues to help me move and heal through a recent Tarlov Cyst Disease diagnosis. I believe it will do the same for you. Pilates meets your body at where it is today, tomorrow, and beyond. Regardless of injuries or limitations and including while pregnant or post-partum. Pilates works to improve athletic performance by working intrinsic stabilizers as well as global mobilizers. It is a practice of connected mind, body and spirit. This practice will improve your function, alignment and posture. My training has led me through three decades of work, in my own body as well as my clients. Each private training session is customized to your body, for what it needs to function and feel better, stronger, more flexible. In addition I bring with me all my knowledge about the body through my medical experience as a former PTA and Respiratory Therapist.

Over the years I have worked with many different people. However, my specialty is in athletic performance to improve function within a skill base or to recover from injury, then re-build a strong foundation to avoid future injuries. I have worked extensively with dancers and classical ballet students, including my own daughter, to help them achieve a goal of improvement when the body has hit a limit. My work also includes military, special forces, cyclists, football, basketball, baseball, surfers and golfers and more. Whether your sport is for fun such as Pickle ball, or more serious to get you to college and beyond, Pilates can improve your training and thereby your strength, conditioning, and performance.

I also specialize in injuries and limitations in the non-athlete who is looking to improve quality of life through a reduction of aches and pains from non-movement or through challenges we incur simply by living our life. Whether that is finding a new way to move or recovery from breast cancer, Traumatic Brain Injury, arthritis/osteoarthritis, foot/ankle injury, or just injury from a fall. The list goes on! I can help you with your challenges! I believe we all can have a wonderful quality of life through commitment to movement, movement that is healthy and healing!
